Australia’s Ashton Turner has replaced the injured Johnson Charles for the HBL Pakistan Super League 2025 and is expected to join the squad in Rawalpindi next week.
Turner, a top-order batter, scored 240 runs at a strike-rate of over 147 for the Perth Scorchers in the 2024–25 Big Bash League (BBL). During the Scorchers’ title-winning 2021–22 season, he amassed more than 350 runs at a strike-rate of 154.
Charles is currently undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of the Cricket West Indies medical panel and has been declared unavailable for the event.
The replacement was approved by the HBL PSL 2025 Technical Committee, in accordance with the league’s regulations.
